Lexington, Ohio -- Brian Lift and HAVOC Motorsports continue to improve each session through the weekend during the Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires race, alongside the Verizon IndyCar Series.  Lift, who has raced at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course under Formula Mazda trim as a part of the SCCA Majors tour, is on a steep learning curve, not only relearning braking points as part of a new car, but sizing up the competition.

“The weekend has gone better as it’s progressed, and I keep improving with each lap.  With it being my first weekend in the Pro Mazda Championship, it’s going to take time to get everything sorted out,” Lift said.  “The competition is tough here, and you can’t give an inch.  I’m really looking forward to the race and seeing what I can do.”

During qualifying, Lift finished the session in 15th, where he will line up in row 8 in his #21 Bleeding Edge Networks/Quick Dream Motorsports/ The Scion Group sponsored Mazda.  Race 1 of the weekend will kick off at 5:35 pm/et at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.  You can follow all the action on promazdachampionship.com.
