BROWNSBURG, IND. – Juncos Racing’s strong performance this weekend at the Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR) showed they are ready for the 2013 Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires. Drivers Diego Ferreira and Scott Anderson finished the two day test with impressive results.

Showing he’s no longer a rookie in the Pro Mazda Championship, Ferreira, 19, pilot of the #57 Juncos Racing/Team Viso Venezuela machine, finished the first open test of the season second fastest overall.

“I’m really happy with the results for my first test of the season,” said Ferreira. “We finished the last practice session of each day P1, which was a great way to end the day. I’m really confident we are going to have a great season and we will be a top car for the championship.”

Anderson, driving the #44 Juncos Racing car, finished the weekend with strong results and looks to continue his progress this week at the Sebring International Raceway’s open test.

“The Palm Beach test overall was very positive,” said Anderson. “We were able to try a lot of new things with the Cooper Tires and found out a lot of things that worked and didn’t work. We were able to run towards the front most of the time as well. At this stage for me it’s all about learning the tires, the car, and gathering as much knowledge as we can.”

Ricardo Juncos, Team Owner, was very pleased with Ferreira and Anderson’s performance this weekend and looks forward to continuing the momentum this week at Sebring International Raceway.

“We had a great weekend testing at Palm Beach,” said Juncos. “Diego showed strong results by finishing the last practice session each day at the top. Scott finished each day with a lot of confidence and he continues to keep building momentum. We will continue testing this week at Sebring and I know the team and both drivers will put up great results.”

The Pro Mazda Championship presented by Cooper Tires will kick off the 2013 season March 1-2, 2013 at the newly constructed 3.4 mile road course Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas. For more information please visit juncosracing.com and promazdachampionship.com.
