16-year-old Gustavo Menezes is the youngest member of the 4-car Juncos Racing team. The American started his racing career at age six and became the California State Champion in go-karts that same year. At age 11, Menezes became the youngest driver to win a JICA Snap-On Stars of Karting race. The following year, he headed overseas to race karts in Europe—while still maintaining a U.S. racing schedule. In 2009, he was awarded the Jim Russell Future Driver Award and 2010 saw his first-ever test in an open-wheel car. Menezes is a factory driver for the famous Italian-based Tony Kart, where past drivers have includes the likes of F1 veteran Jarno Trulli, current F1 world champion Sebastian Vettel, and 7-time F1 world champion Michael Schumacher. Thanks to his worldwide competition schedule, he is fluent in several languages, including Portuguese, Spanish, Italian and English. He was born September 19, 1994 and lives in Coto de Caza, California.
